Super Mario Sunshine is a Super Mario video game released for the Nintendo GameCube. Super Mario Sunshine is the first game to reveal the water pump, F.L.U.D.D., allowing the player to shoot beams of water at enemies or grow very huge natural objects. The game was designed and published by Nintendo.
Mario, Princess Peach, several Toads, and Peach's steward, Toadsworth go on a vacation to Isle Delfino, but when they arrive there, they find that the island has been polluted with goop-like paint by a mysterious character that looks just like Mario. Mario has to restore the island by retrieving Shine Sprites, while at the same time, clearing his name.
Mario now has a water pump. To charge the water pump, you must fill it with water by jumping into the ocean and swimming around for a short period of time. However, if Mario is in the water for much too long, he will start to lose health and die.
Water Pump Edit
Mario now has access to the Water Pump which can be charged by swimming around and spending time in the water. The Water Pump makes its debut in this game.
- This is the only Mario video game to have the water pump. However, this may be used in later projects.
