Driver is a series of new generation Atari games. They closely resemble Grand Theft Auto. The games are heavily criticized by players and police officers who may have contact with the game.

List of Driver games Edit

Driver: You Are the Wheelman Edit

Driver is the first game in the Driver series. It introduces Tanner and Tobias Jones, two undercover police workers who find themselves in a crossfire through a Miami gang war. Action will span across four cities, Miami, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York City. The games first appeared on the shelves in 1999 and were sold out in 2000 due to wild popularity, being one of the first games allowing the player to get into trouble with police and bring them through four different cities.

Releases were available for the PlayStation, Windows, Mac OS, and Game Boy Color (which doesn't include San Fransico).

Driver 2: The Wheelman is Back Edit

Driver 2 is the sequel to the popular video game released in 1999. Driver 2 was released in 2002. It is the return of Tanner and Tobias Jones introducing four new cities, plus international borders. Driver 2 wasn't as popular as the first game, however, it allows the player to exit his vehicle and steel another.

Releases were available for the PlayStation and Game Boy Advance.

Driver 1976 Edit

Driver 1976 is a game outside the main series. It takes place in the 1970's featuring a new player named Ray. The game allows the player to drive more retro vehicles such as 75 Ford Mustangs. It is the first Driver game to allow the play to use guns and knives.

Driv3r Edit

DRIV3R is the third installment in the main series, released for the PlayStation 2, Windows, XBox, Game Boy Advance, and Mobile phones. It returns to the story of Tanner and Tobias Jones. It brings back the original gang war being run by other gangs such as the notorious car theft gang "South Beach". The game is strongly noted for its violence. Though it is very similar, Grand Theft Auto continues to mock it.

Driver Paralell Lines Edit

Driver Paralell Lines is the sequel to Driver 1976. It features a new character known as The Kid and Ray returns as his partner in crime.

Driver: The Recruit Edit

Driver: The Recruit is the upcoming Driver game. It is said to feature a new character.
