Dragon Ball: Daimaou Fukkatsu is a game in the Dragon Ball series. Unlike other games in the series that span throughout the character's life, this one only takes place in one of the manga's episodes. Goku finds his friend, Krillin, dead after a fighting tournament. Near the body, young Goku finds a piece of paper with a demon's note engraved on it, and Master Roshi tells Goku that an evil demon, Piccolo Daimaou (King Piccolo in the English localization), has landed on Earth. Goku sets out to find the evil King Piccolo and revive his friend.

Gameplay[]

Like many other early Dragon Ball games, much of Daimaou Fukkatsu consists of using cards as an advantage to battle. Everything depends on your choice of card, and cards (offensive and defensive) determine the outcome of the battle. Many Dragon Ball RPGs would use this later on. You can train with Master Roshi, who plays a large supporting role in the game, and also explore various environments and locations. However, everything, from battles to number of spaces you can move, depends on the cards.
